JIM CARREY TEACHES US ABOUT LIFE AND SUCCESS

Updated: Jun 11, 2023

Jim Carrey needs no introduction. We all know who he is. What we didn't know however was how extremely intelligent and insightful he was. Jim Carrey comes from a challenging upbringing. Like most people, he had no money, and a dream. He practiced mindfullness, meditation, and manifestation. He visualized receiving 10 million dollars for "acting services rendered". Just three years later, he got it. The rest is history.

You can spend your whole life imagining ghosts, worrying about the pathway to the future. But, all there will ever be is what's happening here... And the decisions we make in this moment. Which are based in either love, or fear.

So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality. What we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect, so we never dare to ask the universe. I'm saying... I'm the proof. That you can ask the universe for it.

My father could've been a great comedian, but he didn't believe that was possible for him. So, he made a conservative choice. Instead he got a safe job as an accountant. When I was 12 years old - he was let go from that safe job - and our family had to do whatever we could to survive. I learned many great lessons from my father; not the least of which is that

"you can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love"

I can tell you from experience; the effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is. And that's when my search for identity came in.

I wondered who i'd be without my fame? Who would I be if I said things that people didn't want to hear. Or, if I defied their expectations of me.

Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world. Don't let anything stand in the way of the light that shines through this form.

"Risk being seen in all your glory"

That peace that we're after lies somewhere beyond our personality. Risk being seen in all your glory. You are ready and able to do beautiful things in this world.

"You will only ever have two choices. Love, or fear. "

Choose love, and don't ever let fear turn you against your playful heart. Thank you so much.

WHAT DOES JIM TEACH US ABOUT LIFE?

It teaches us that the images we have in our head about success and attaining our "supposed dreams" doesn't bring happiness. Happiness is still the key ingredient in life.

In another interview Jim expresses that he wishes everyone could be rich and famous, because at the end of the day it doesn't mean anything. Jim Carrey is at the top of the mountain, and he said this himself. Some can say that "who is Jim Carrey to say this"? My question to you is, who better to say this than Jim Carrey?

He continues to say that this is not where you're going to find your sense of completion. What also matters in life is discovering who you really are. What are the quality of your relationships? Jim Carrey put on a facade for so many years bringing happiness to others, but not to himself.
